Family Visa Processing Time (Oslo)

I just filed for a Family Visa to move to Oslo. I'm a US Citizen and my wife is a Norwegian citizen. I filed at the consulate in San Francisco and I understand the estimated time is 10 months. In anyone's experience is the estimated wait time accurate? I'm just trying to set my own expectations.
