Comunity colleges to study Culinary Arts (Ottawa)

Hi, my name is Reynaldo Matos and I am from Dominican Republic.

I would like to study Culinary Arts in Canada (9 months to 1 year course), I did an investigation of all Culinary schools and institutes in Canada and Europe and I realized they were very expensive, all schools I searched were between 20k-50k Dollars and even euros.

I read someone's article saying that the cheapest way to study Culinary Arts is through Comunity Colleges, so I would like to hear how does Comunity colleges work in Canada? also I'd like to know someone who had studied Culinary Arts there in Canada or any suggestion where I can find help to find a great school, institute or com college.
