Advice for family considering move to Ouagadougou

Dear Ouagadougou "Locals"

My husband is considering a role in Ouagadougou - and before the interviewing process gets too far, I wanted to hear from those living in Ouagadougou whether you would recommend it for a family with two small children (4 years old and 6 months).

I have other concerns and questions - but the most important one for the moment is that my children's health and safety. It is sometimes hard to put into perspective the things you read from official government websites - thus I am interested in a "on the ground" opinion. Specifically I am curious about your experience regarding quality of hospitals available, road safety, prevelance of malaria, etc. Generally "mom" in protective overdrive!

Any advice or insight in this regard would be grately appreciated.
