Five days of culture in Casco Antiguo (Panama City)

A free five-day cultural series called Macro Fest is coming to Casco Antiguo from Tuesday, March 15, to Saturday, March 19. It is part of the “Verano Azul” (Blue Summer) cultural program organized by the National Institute of Culture (INAC). Fashion shows, music, art and film are just some of the activities to be enjoyed.

The main event will be two days of fashion shows and music in Plaza Catedral in the evenings of Friday, March 18 and Saturday, March 19.

This event is sponsored by Physical, a modeling academy that also organizes events. Macro Fest will offer a series of musical performances, design presentations, and fashion shows by talent artists, architects and professionals in the design field.

This year, Macro Fest feature ten national and foreign designers who will portray their work in a grand fashion show in Plaza Catedral accompanied by DJs and live bands. Students of Ganexa Art University will combine fashion shows with live graffiti painting. The designs will be inspired by theater, ballet and the Carnival of Venice.

At the Gazebo in Plaza Catedral, there will be a photographic slide show with images of Latin America to raise consciousness about climate change and possible solutions to environmental problems.
