New Immigration Permanent Resident Visa (Panama City)

A new visa has been issued by the Panamanian Government, which gives the holder the status of Permanent Resident. This is brand new and it has more to do with the nationality that you hold. This visa applies to citizens of the following countries: Germany, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Brazil, Belgium, Canada, Spain, USA, Slovakia, France, Finland, Netherlands, Ireland, Japan, Norway, Checz Rep., Switzerland, Singapore, Uruguay, Chile and Sweden.

IMPORTANT: this visa is for those that are coming to work, invest or excercise their professions. BUT it's not quite clear what professions it applies to, because Panama has prohibitions regarding certain professions which are reserved exclusively for Panamanians. So it's not quite clear in certain things and it's not as easy as it may look. Certain restrictions may apply which are not clear yet.

Tomorrow I will be calling for a special emergeny meeting of the Business Networking Group, and as our Speaker will be the President of the Immigration Law Association who will answer questions.
