Retirement Questions (Panama City)

My wife and I are considering retirement in Panama and would like to talk with someone who has already made the move from the United States. We have a million or so question right now. We have been doing a lot of reading but there is only so much we can get from the Web. We will be coming through Panama on a Princess cruise and will be docked at Fuerte Amador, Panama (for Panama City) on January 15, Protected content . Our ship will drop anchor at 8am and leave at 6pm. If somebody would be willing to meet us on the 15th and also let me know how we can get from where we will be let off on shore to where ever we meet. I know this is a tendered port, meaning the ship will anchor in the bay and we will get tendered to shore. Maybe someplace we could have lunch would be nice.
