Retiring to Panama? (Panama City)

Hi everyone, Just signed up, so very new to this (smile).
I am trying to get the "real" information about semi retiring/retiring to Panama.
There is lots of hype about great house pricing, cheap food and living, but all of this information is from realtors, lawyers and other stake holders.
I am trying to connect with either Canadians or Brits who have retired or live in Panama to connect and email to basically ask questions etc.
