SOUL UNDERGROUND - Panama (Panama City)

Saturday, May 7, starting at 9PM, Soul Underground comes to restaurante Pencas on the Causeway. This is the third SU event in Panama City. It's an eclectic, musical event which features DJ sets, live music and performances. The first SU featured four DJs, live capoeira performance, and renowned Panamanian tamborero Ventura Driguez.

Soul Underground was founded by Jamaican-born DJ/producer Longdayzjourney. In an effort to present an alternative music scene to Panama City, SU was initiated as a monthly event that would change venues regularly, introducing the Panamanian audience to genres rarely heard on local radio stations or in the clubs around the city--genres like New York and Chicago style house music, Neo Soul, Acid Jazz, Nu-Jazz, as well as Afrobeat, Samba, and other fusions of world music with modern dance styles.
