where to live for a non-driver? (Panama City)

I've just arrived in Panama and looking for an area to live in that is human (not car) oriented, with a supermarket, cafe/bar/restaurant, maybe also a bank, nearby. An apartment with S/SW-facing terrace, and shared gym and pool. In a safe area. Accessible for buses... (would also like to be near my office in Clayton but realise you can't have everything at one time). Any suggestions?
