B2B Marketing and Communication Lead- PayPal (Paris)

Background : PayPal operates a dynamic business in Europe that addresses the payment needs of both merchants and consumers. PayPal is rapidly becoming the preferred method of making and accepting online payments in the region on tens of thousands of merchant websites. PayPal is focused on maximising the adoption, use, and preference for PayPal on-line by addressing customer needs, both merchant and consumer, more effectively than any other payments provider and by offering customers the best payment experience on the web

Within Europe and the SENE Region (SouthEast and Northern Europe), The Greater Europe team builds and implements PayPal footprint expansion strategies across 36 new markets representing a total potential of Protected content inhabitants. The region is a blend of:
- Markets where winning domestic Payments will be key, starting with very ambitious plans in Turkey and Scandinavia
- Markets where PayPal development will be based on enabling cross-border trade thanks to a highly scalable generic product offering

Role : The B2B Marketing and Communication Lead is fostering PayPal ubiquity among Merchants, Partners, and Developers.
She/he is responsible for self-served merchant acquisition and for driving local PayPal awareness and consideration among Merchants, Partners, and Developers. In particular she/he is the PR lead for Greater Europe with the support of the SENE Communication Director.
Together with local market teams she/he is responsible for Merchants, Partners, and Developers acquisition and activation.
She / he will work together with the Consumer Engagement Marketing Lead in order to best leverage Merchants, Partners, and Developers for consumer engagement.

Team : The B2B Marketing and Communication Lead and the Consumer Engagement Marketing Lead both report into the Area Manager, Greater Europe, together with the Product Director and the Sales and Development Director. They constitute the central Greater Europe team serving all markets.
They work closely with market Content Managers also based in Paris and with the local markets Sales and Development teams based in Stockholm for Scandinavia and in Istanbul for Turkey.

Responsibilities : Developing and Executing a Merchant (SP/SMB/LM), Partner, and Developer marketing strategy
Trade marketing, Partner B2B co-marketing strategy and execution, together with local market teams
Self served merchant recruitment and activation. Developing and leveraging Merchant pages/ hubs and Paid Search programs
PR and Communication (with the support of the SENE PR Director): Managing and leveraging of our PR agencies in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Turkey. (Lead role for PR within Greater Europe, including Consumer communications)
Social media strategy and execution to spread a substantial and locally focused positive word of mouth around PayPal among our target decision makers, developers and influencers communities
Tradeshows and Events. Merchant, Partner and Developer communication material
Analytics, Research and Panels in order to develop a holistic view of what PayPal means for our merchants, partners and developers and how to best serve them.
Leading and influencing beyond the marketing scope : Product, Sales, BD, CS, Operations, Core Payments, Content and Localization, Risk ...

Previous experiences in B2B marketing, trademarketing Previous experiences in consumer marketing or at least a strong focus on keeping the final consumer in mind when planning and executing B2B marketing actions Previous experiences in Sales is a plus
Business school and / or marketing post graduate degree Excellent track record in Marketing for a leading Internet or Payment company Perfect mastering of English as a work language (French is not required) Mastering one or more language of one of the 36 Greater Europe countries is a plus.
