Can someone bring a small book from the US? (Paris)

I'm a student at Université Paris V, and I need to buy a book for my research. I had a friend coming from the US to visit, but she changed her travel plans.

The book here in France costs almost Protected content more. Yes, the exactly same book!

Is there anyone going to the US and coming back soon who could bring the book for me? The book is light - it weights nearly 0.7kg (1.6 pounds). I would buy the book and send it to the address in the US, so the only trouble would be to bring it your luggage, and I will meet you to pick the book up in Paris.
