Expat Relocation Checklist (Paris)

Salut !
In preparation for my move to Paris, I am looking for a checklist/advice in what to prepare before I leave the US. I have read about Visas, driver's license, housing, etc. I am looking for experience from someone who has already gone through the process and what items, steps, tasks you needed to attend too (or wish you had) prior to relocating.
