Award-winning writer, director, producer (and sometime actor) Bob Swaim will talk about his almost forty years living and working in the French film Industry as well as his extensive experience in international co-productions, including a disastrous adventure in “Euro-pudding” filmmaking.

For over thirty five years, Bob Swaim has written, directed and produced feature films in Europe and Hollywood. His films have received numerous awards and prizes including three César Awards from the French Film Academy, and the UNICEF Grand Prix for Best Feature at the Berlin Festival. His recent documentary, “Lumières Noires” is one of the ten finalists for Grand Prix International du Documentaire d’Auteur - Best Documentary Film of Protected content the Monte Carlo Television Festival. He is a member of the Directors Guild of America, Writers Guild of America, Screen Actors Guild Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, European Film Academy, the French Académie des Arts et Techniques du Cinéma, and the Société des Auteurs et Compositeurs Dramatique. For his contribution to the French film industry, the French Minister of Culture has recently named him Officier des Arts et des Lettres. He is Director of the International Film School of Paris, EICAR. Bob’s work is featured in Deborah Walker’s new and highly acclaimed book on French and American film noir, “Dark Crossings”( Macmillan, Protected content . He is presently writing his next feature film to be shot on location in Paris next year.
