June in Paris

A friend and I are planning a trip to Europe to celebrate her birthday, and we are planning to spend 5 days in Paris. I’ve been to Paris twice, so I’m pretty confident of my abilities in preparing a sightseeing itinerary. However, it’s always nice to get the locals’ opinions on the best places to eat.

We are traveling on a bit of a budget. We plan to enjoy ourselves, but probably can’t afford super expensive restaurants. That said, I myself love to get off the beaten path and get a local feel to the place. All I'm looking for are nice places with good food. I really want to avoid the tourist trap, and I loathe having to ask the hotel concierge for help, for I invariably end up in overpriced, mediocre places.

I haven’t made hotel reservations yet, but I’m hoping that, by booking early, I can find good deals on the 1er arrondissement or the French Quarter.

Any help will be appreciated.

Cheers,
Renata
