Knit Squares for AIDS impacted orphans (Paris)

During my time in Shanghai I volunteered with the local BEAN chapter and one of my favorite events they organized was the Knit Squares meet ups... ( Protected content )

Once a month we'd meet up in a cafe, knit lots of 20x20 cm squares and send it over to Africa. We had a lot of fun in the process, I taught a couple of girls how to knit, made friends...

And now I'm in Paris. BEAN doesn't seam to be active here, I haven't found any meet ups in Paris around this initiative yet and that made me curious. Are there any enthusiastic knitting volunteers around here? Might be a too long shot, let's see.

Let me know if you're out there and would like to engage. If there are few of us. might be worth setting up a meet up group and getting together.
And maybe you have an idea how to get wool and knitting needles as donations?

Or maybe you know about some group that's already up and running?
