Learning French in France (Paris)

I need suggestions on reliable, reputable and affordable language schools in France.

I wish to spend as much time in France as possible in order to get the full advantage of immersion. For this reason, Paris maybe out of the question. But I need to listen to the opinions of Parisians :)

On the other hand, I have come across a school called Alfmed in Perpignon. Have you ever heard of it? What do you think of it?
