looking for a printer that works (for home) (Paris)

Hi all,
I have a terrible, awful, will-never-buy-again printer from EPSON (DX Protected content I have to replace it because the printer keeps failing to grab each sheet of paper correctly. This printer is a lesson in how not to design a paper feed.
Who has a nice printer for home use to recommend? For occasional printing, but not huge quantities. I just want a brand/model that will run normally, without maintenance problems. Doesn't have to be fast, nice quality though.
