mother of teenager in Paris

Hello - just arrived from New York City to Paris for the school year with my 14 year-old-son and looking for some fellow mother friends! Though my children are older (my daughter 19 is living in Copenhagen) I'd also be delighted to meet mothers with younger children as well. English or French, I'm conversant in both, although in French there would certainly be occassional lapses in vocabulary on my end. I also speak some German as my husband is German and I spent some months living there. Since my husband is here so rarely, I'd ideally like to find a friend to go to the ballet or opera with, or go to dinner or a coffee with.
