reimbursement of chomage (Paris)

hey all, quick question. i am finishing my job in paris after 5 years and since my carte de sejour expires with my contract, i have no access to the unemployment benefit (chomage) while I find a new job. This is despite the fact that i have contributed 5 years to the chomage! does anyone have a clue if/how i can be reimbursed the chomage contributions ??? it doesn't seem fair to me. thanks in advance
