Advice needed regarding settlement (Perth)

Hi there, I have got a provisional temporary resident permit (likely to be PR after two years) that allows me to live and work in the state of Western Australia excluding Perth region i.e. I cannot live in Perth for at least two years. So, I am really confused in making selection for my settlement as I only know about Perth city in WA. I have no idea about other cities and particularly about the job situation. Kindly advice me the second most suitable place to live in after Perth so that I can make up my mind to settle there. I will really appreciate all of the suggestions!! Thanks in advance

P.S. I am an electrical engineer with telecommunications as my majors.
