STS Asia Pacific

In the Asia Pacific (AP) region there are STS offices located in Eastern & Western Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia and Singapore. The principal activities associated with these offices lies in the Integrity Solutions and Services business line which includes: integrity engineering and management, inspection services and thermal services. We apply our knowledge, skills and experience to provide solutions and systems that will optimise the safety, integrity and life cost of our clients' assets. We can provide a total integrity management services or a specialist niche application and all stages between depending on client needs. Place of work, reporting lines and position
The place of work is Perth (CBD). The AIM Technical Development Manager is reporting to the Western Australian Regional Manager. The primary responsibilities of this position are 1) Manage and Develop Asset Integrity Management business lines with new and existing clients of the CBD operation, 2) Present and Develop Technical AIM proposals 3) Client Account Management

Specific tasks & responsibilities
• Ensure the business objectives of the Perth based business unit are achieved each quarter. This to include revenue and cash flow targets as agreed
• Assist with the compilation of business plans initially for the Perth based business unit
• Assist with the management of resources for the Perth based business unit
• Manage and Develop business lines with existing and new clients
• Assist with the introduction and establishing of new product lines and services for the Perth Office Business Unit as directed
• Establish working relationships with key clients including Santos, Woodside Petroleum, and BHP for the continued delivery of services and products
• Identify customer requirements and lead/assist with marketing / promotion / solutions delivery based on the available STS product lines
• Identify new business growth opportunities initially for the Perth based business unit and evaluate future potential of such opportunities using rigorous business modelling techniques (including NPV and Business Case methods) for management approval
• Identify Resource requirements, both currently and over the following 12 months, for the Perth based business unit
• Lead by example in terms of work ethic, professionalism, and personal direction
• Lead bid proposal efforts and teams as required
• Lead and ensure the effective delivery of office administration processes, practices and procedures including preparation of monthly and other periodic reports for the Perth regional business unit
• Supervision and implementation of systems for HSSEQ
• Manage and develop relationships collectively working as a team (AP)
• Prepare and issue client consultancy agreements
• Perform technical revision of outgoing proposals and reports
• Generate and present all technical proposals
• Bid Proposal writing and management
• Pre-contract agreements
• Provide continuous improvement activity across all AIM projects
• Accountable for the sales process throughout Western Australia in developing new and existing clients

We are recruiting a person who has gained experience in similar positions for Asset Integrity Management (AIM) Solutions & Service companies. It is very important to have a proven track record and the resilience to deliver under pressure, which will be checked during the recruitment process. The following skills, knowledge & experience are required:
- Proven track record within Asset Integrity Management Solutions & Service companies
- Bachelor degree qualification in mechanical engineering or a related field in plant or pipeline engineering / corrosion engineering appropriate to the Western Australia Oil and Gas sector
- NACE Qualifications would be highly desirable
- > 8 year managerial operations experience within an Asset Integrity Management Solutions & Service environment
- Financial experience & knowledge
- Commercial Bid Proposal experience and negotiation skills
- Strong Communication skills at all levels
- Reliability Engineering experience would be highly advantageous
- Experienced in the Principles of Asset Integrity Management and NDT inspection services in Oil and Gas
- Business Development experience in Western Australia Oil and Gas sector
