Volunteering Opportunity - Support Other Less Fortunate Expats.
How would you like to utilise your own migration experience to help those who need coaching to enable them to settle in Australia.
Swan Volunteer Resource Centre supports a local charity that is looking for volunteers who can offer one-on-one support to a refugee, or a refugee family, who have suffered torture, and/or trauma, to help them establish a new life in Perth.
The position involves practical assistance and personal support assessing their new community, and establishing a personal relationship with them.
Orientation Training - An information evening, followed by training on a Saturday.
To provide one-on-one support you need to be available on average 2 hours per week, however, our client also has a number of events that may suit those that prefer to volunteer on an adhoc, event basis.
If you are interested in finding out more about this opportunity, or others that suit your personal circumstances and preferences, please contact
