Thinking of moving to Philadelphia area

Hello all,
I am thinking of moving to the Philadelphia area as I am in talks with a company that might offer me a job nearby. I have been abroad for the last few years and the last major US city I lived in was Atlanta in the Protected content .

How would you all rate cost of living and quality of life in the region? Would you recommend the area to an outsider?
