How do you define the Polynesia community?

Hi there,

I'm from Tahiti and although there usually is a distinction between the French part of Oceania and the English speaking part of it, I do think that there can be ways and resource people like me to bridge the gap but here for instance I wonder if Polynesia is the appropriate name for such an Internations community? I'd really wished Tahiti was shown on this map. Thank you.
