A newbie in Brazil (Porto Alegre)

Ola! I am a Canadian living in Beijing and heading to Brazil at the beginning of Protected content . I'm doing my research on how to launch a career, a job and living in Brazil. I've been to Rio twice but I'm open to discover other places.

I'm teaching English at the moment but I want to be in Brazil to docus on my career objectives to work in an NGO/INGO or any development organization (i.e., with women, agriculture, energy, food, environment, etc.). I would like to find an internship or volunteering or an entry-level position.

Could anyone give me some advice?

Also, I have found this website brazilcareerblueprint.com. Has anyone heard of it or have used it in the past?

Any ideas, advice, suggestions and help will be more than appreciated!
