New to Santa Cruz do Sul! (Porto Alegre)

Hello everyone, I am posting here because it is the closest group to Santa Cruz do Sul. I just moved to Santa Cruz do Sul. Trying to find out what type of events, activities, etc. there are to do between Santa Cruz do Sul and Porto Alegre (and/or anywhere near).
Please let me know any and everything!
I am interested in meetups, gatherings, parties, walks, tours, cooking, etc...oh...and...RUGBY if possible.
I will be here for a year or two, so, I would like to get to know everything. I am also working to learn Portuguese. I have some beginner level Spanish.
