Transitioning to Porto from US

Howdy Everyone!
I am a Texan looking to move to Porto this summer and would like to get some advice on transitioning from the US. I am visiting Porto March 27 through April 4 and would love to meet up and chat with other Americans about their experience. Please let me know if you would be interested in getting together or otherwise connecting.
Also, feel free to post advice directly on this thread regarding moving to Portugal.
