Amazing paper sculptures at Grubshup (Pune)

Just wanted to tell everyone about a rare chance to see two amazing paper sculptures by the renowned local artist, Mr. Satish Ghatpande. Displayed as part of a 10-day art show at Grubshup, featuring Ganesha in various art forms, media and shapes. Mr. Ghatpande also shows a few acrylics on canvas where the 3-D effect is brought by paint alone.

Mr. Ghatpande's works are complemented by those from Ms. Sanmitra Chitte, who captures Ganesha in various colors painted in calligraphic techniques.

All exhibitions at Grubshup, our award-winning restaurant built on Sustainability Principles, are organized to make art more accessible, approachable and affordable. The paper sculptures are increasingly rare as the artist rarely indulges this art form today. This is an excellent chance to own original artworks at really affordable prices. Grubshup prides itself on NOT charging any commission or rent to the artists, hoping the art is priced affordably. And it is. The paper sculptures are priced at Rs. 20K each and the other works (all acrylics on canvas) are priced around Rs. 3K each. All proceeds go directly to the artists.

Grubshup Restaurant is located on Law College Road, at the first traffic light on Law College Road (going from the University side) after you pass Film Institute on your right. The show is open 10am-11pm daily, no admission charges, no purchase necessary. The current exhibition is ongoing until 10th September.
