Ideas wanted for extended weekend trip (Pune)

Hi all,
we arrived in Pune four weeks ago, thus we are still bloody beginners.
End of March we would like to spend an extended weekend somewhere outside Pune, preferrably somewhere in the Mountains.
Can anyone make a recommendation where to go and where to stay?
