Independance day film festival @ NFAI. 13~15 Aug (Pune)

National Film Archive India has organized film festival on occasion of India's Independence day which is of course on 15th August & subsequently a public holiday as well.

ENTRY is FREE FOR ALL at this film festival.
No need to buy any free admittance tickets or pass. Just carry 1 ID proof and walk in to the theater.
FYI: Shoes are not allowed inside the NFAI theater. You remove shoes outside the theater in a big hall.

And yes, if you are a new expat in India particularly in Pune, IMP thing = 15th August is a DRY DAY all over India i.e. all alcohol shops remain closed, no alcohol is served in restaurant even to non Indian citizens I believe at five star hotel. So... stock it at home to avoid any last minute disappointment. ^_^

Those expats who are interested to watch Independence day parade may attend it. Pune has big military base so yes lots of Independence day parade's will be there in Pune specially near Camp area.
