ATM problems with European Bank Cards in Ecuador (Quito)

It seems that since a few weeks Ecuadorean banks no longer accept certain European bankcards for cash withdrawlas at ATM's. The problem is the so called EMV chip on the frontside of the card. This chip is no longer accepted by Ecuadorean banks, although it is already in use since Protected content so. EMV stand for Europay MasterCard Visa. I want to call upon everybody who is having the same kind of problems with their bankcards, to reports these problems to both the Ecuadorean banks where they tried to withdrawal, as well as to their European bank.

I also want to ask everybody who's dealing with the same kind of problems to post on this thread in order to unite our efforts and get a quick solution.
