Bringing Items to Ecuador (Quito)

Hello all, I am moving to Cumbaya at the end of January. I have a house there already and an Ecuadorian fiance. I wish to bring some things with me, like some small appliances and a flat screen TV as I seen the prices of items like that are fairly expensive down there. Is it worth it for me to bring and is it difficult. I appreciate any info around this subject. Also looking forward to meeting you all when I get there. Thanks, Tim M
