Interested in Ecuadorian Literature? (Quito)

I would like to start a read-and-discuss club for expatriates that would serve as an introduction to Ecuadorian writers such as Jorge Icaza, Alicia Yanez, and Raul Perez Torres, using authorized English-translation versions of their works. I know some of these authors personally, and at least one so far has agreed to talk about his work with such a club once it came into existence. I had proposed this as an InterNations activity through formal channels, but strangely enough, it was declined by a somebody in InterNations who claimed I was affiliated with "an already existing business or organization", which is news to me. Anyhow, anybody interested in being part of such a club, feel free to write me via my InterNations mail box.
