Looking for peace, nature, stunning views on water (Quito)

It will be my first time in Ecuador in May and I am going for 2 months. I want to find a place to do some study and personal growth work and I want it to be quiet, in nature surrounded by gorgeous views and water...ideally more lush green than arid brown...

Can anyone recommend any such beautiful areas in Ecuador? I am sure there are many!

I would like a small house with 2 or 3 bedrooms for a month that has access to shops nearby and a lovely community of people to get to know. Long term I am looking for a place to call home and would like to see if Ecuador can offer this.
