20th Anniversary – Cambridge iGCSE Scholarship Programme
To celebrate our 20th anniversary, and our authorisation as the only school in Quito to offer Cambridge International Examinations respected International General Certificate of Secondary Education (iGCSE), The British School Quito invites applications to a competitive scholarship program.
The British School Quito is a binational school accredited by and is fully compliant with the Ministry of Education in Ecuador and the British curriculum, the Council of International Schools, the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, Cambridge International Examinations, and the International Baccalaureate. The school is located Tumbaco and currently has Protected content from ages Protected content more than twenty nationalities with an international English native speaking teaching faculty.
The British School Quito is looking for students who show exceptional academic potential to apply for the scholarship. The scholarships are intended for students to enter our Year 10 class (aged 14 on August 31st). The Scholarship will pay a maximum of 50% of local tuition fees only, for 10mo. Educación General Básica (Cambridge iGCSE) and through to graduation in 3ro. Bachillerato (with the IB Diploma) at age 18 providing the student continues to meet the expectations of the School.
The Scholarship Committee will review the student’s past academic results, language proficiency, application, interview notes and test results to decide if the student will be able to successful engage in the Cambridge iGCSE Programme. The British School Quito strives to offer scholarships to students who will most benefit from the programme and will support them in applying to their choice of university.

Who May Apply?
The competition is open to students of all nationalities, excluding current or former students of The British School Quito. Students who apply must be 14 years old by August 31st Protected content . Students whose parent or guardian is employed by a company that normally pays or reimburses their employees’ school fees are ineligible for scholarships.
