Technology available in Quito

Hi all,

I apologize for yet another post, but I leave in 2 days and am in the process of figuring out what NOT to bring :-) I have a few questions about technology available in Ecuador:
1. Does anybody know if Netflix (if you have an USA account)t is available for streaming in Ecuador? Is the Internet strong enough for good quality videos and other types of streaming, like YouTube and Skype?
2. If Netflix doesn't work, can you rent DVDs there at an affordable price and are many movies available?
3. How is the internet quality in general compared to, say, the USA?
4. Is there a store where you an repair and/or purchase Apple products using a warranty?
