Help discovering RAK (Ras Al-Khaimah)

Hi All,
My fiancee is in RAK for the next 2 weeks and has no idea about anything. He's adventurous and loves sports and history. He often has access to a car, but not a clue about how to navigate the area. Can anyone suggest some interesting things to do? So far he's managed to make some friends at the beach for pick-up soccer games and cafes at night...He would love to discover the area...Would love suggestions!
