Ideas to make the community more active (Reading)

I just moved to Reading so I kept an eye on this forum for months.
Nothing is happening here.
I do hope that the IN community is more active outside of the forum than online.
I noticed also that only the Ambassadors for Reading are creating events (the official ones) but these events are a month apart each time. Any ideas to make things more active around here ?
