Australians in Rio and Learning Portuguese. (Rio de Janeiro)

Hi,

My name is Wayde and I am from Sydney, Australia. I moved here last year but have been here several times before.

I moved here for a different cultural experience and to be closer with my now wife.

As an Australian I would be to know some other Australians around Rio (not to be closer to home or to hear the larrikin aussie accent) but more so on how you´ve found easy ways with learning portuguese and remembering all the rules.

As you know Australia is a country in the middle of nowhere and surrounded by Asia, so we aren´t influenced by a lot of Latin languages (unlike UK and America), so learning grammar with Masc. & Fem. can be quite difficult.

Hope to hear from some people and maybe even catch up for a beer (how I miss schooners glasses. . . . ).
