Brazilian Passport for recently born daughter (Rio de Janeiro)

Hello! I am looking for help in acquiring a Brazilian passport for my daughter who was born here in February so that we can travel to/from Brazil. (She already has her American passport) I'm told it is currently difficult to get one, so I am looking for a 3rd party who can help push this through, or advice on how to do it myself.
