Moving to Rio in August -advice on commuting help! (Rio de Janeiro)

Hi all,

I'm moving to Rio in August with my company (PricewaterhouseCoopers). I think I want to live in Ipanema or Leblon (have heard that they are the youngest and funnest places to live for ex pats) but my office is just about to move out to Barra.

Does anyone know how long it would take to commute from Ibanema/Leblon to Barra in rush hour? I heave heard that I would need to take a bus as there is no train.
