Moving to Rio with my Family (Rio de Janeiro)

Hi All

Im a Brit currently living in Baku, but will be taking a job in Rio and emigrating with my family this July.
I am looking for some advice from families who have made the move and what the major issues you face as a family on arriving in Brazil where?
Addtionally I will be working in offices 30mins from Cocapabana but am unsure as to where others expat familys tend to stay?
What are the safer neigbhourhoods?
Barra De Tijuca is not a option as the commute to work would be over an hour and a half.
What is the cost of hiring a motorista?
