Postnatal support to mothers with no family's help (Rio de Janeiro)
I am VANIA FRANCA, Brazilian/ British, Psychologist and Master in Social Psychology. Having had two children when I lived in Europe, with no family around, I know very well how foreign mothers feel, when they are giving birth to a new baby, without much support in the initial period after the birth.
I offer postnatal support to mother at home, after baby’s birth, taking care of the mother to allow her to rest, eat, take a shower with no rush, doing light household tasks and other domestic work to suit the mother's needs. I offer non-judgmental emotional and practical support, looking after mother’s wellbeing so that she can look after her baby in a more relaxed way.
