Our client is a leading international insurance group based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager – Credit Control to be based in Jeddah.

The credit control finance manager is accountable for the entire credit granting process, including the consistent application of credit policy, periodic credit reviews of existing customers, and the assessment of the credit worthiness of potential customers, with the goal of optimizing the mix of business growth and minimal acceptable bad debt losses.

Reporting to: Finance Operations Director


• Maintains an appropriate department organizational structure/ size to manage cost effectively and meet all departmental goals and objectives
• Properly motivates the credit and collections staff
• Measures department performance with appropriate metrics
• Provides for ongoing training of the credit staff
• Manages a professional and effective relationship with the sales force
• Ensures the adequacy of debtors age profile, prepares debtors & collection monthly forecast
• Improves credit processes and procedures, e.g. invoicing, follow up, query management
• Develops high standard tools and MIS packages to support decision making process related to credit issues
• Maintains the corporate credit policy
• Recommends changes to the credit policy to senior management when needed
• Creates credit scoring model based on historical performance in terms of collection & risk level
• Manages customer credit files
• Monitors the credit granting and updating process
• Performs ongoing review for overdue accounts, follow up with sales / collection team and instigates legal proceedings
• Lead the monthly debtors meeting with sales & collection team to ensure monthly collection targets are met
• Personally investigates the largest customers credit requests
• Personally visits the largest customers at risk to establish effective relationships and outcomes


• Open to Saudi Nationals & Arabic applicants
• 10 years experience
• At least 2 years in a Finance Manager position
• Strong knowledge of Credit Control function
• Excellent bilingual communicator, written and oral in Arabic & English
• Strong knowledge of implementing ERP / Accounting systems
• A holder of CMA , CFM or CPA is a plus


• Possesses sound commercial judgment
• Capable team leader, developer and motivator
• Excellent at forming effective working relationships, advanced interpersonal skills
• Excellent user of Micro-Soft office applications (Excel, win word, power point, etc…)
• Willingness to take ownership and a high energy level to participate in a dynamic, fast-growing business
• Excellent analytical and measurement skills
