Life like in Riyadh for Single African American Wo

I have been offered a preliminary contract job in Riyadh for six months. I have not yet been given instructions regarding my departure and compound assignment etc. However I would like to learn more about being a single African American Professional living there.

I have read the notes, comments, and advice given to those on the site thus far about living arrangements and respect as it relates to the culture and traditions.

Can someone elaborate on internet restrictions (site blocks etc), cell phone use-- and carriers, laundry and or maid service on the compounds, the typical diet one eats.

People visiting you other than family (especially if you have no family)...
