Moving to Riyadh end of summer, need advice

Hello everyone! I am very excited about my move. I would love for people to weigh in on a few questions.

What is the appropriate form of dress for a woman to get around the city?
Should I arrive with the appropriate items, or can I purchase them while in the country?
Are there other cities nearby that are less restrictive that would be a nice place to visit for a weekend?
Does anyone have any experience living in a compound? If so, are there any special clothing rules that I should be aware of? I am told that I can wear my normal clothes while getting around on the compound we will be living in.
