Patent a software in Saudi !!!or in the world (Riyadh)

I have an Idea that i want to publish but i want to protect before that ... I meant i want to do patent . I just found that i cant do that at any of GCC !!! Any one has any idea where i can do that !! and how !! My Idea based on a Smartphone Application "software" I heard it is only at US and UK !! is there any way to do it here in Saudi or at any GCC country.
