Regional Arab music (Riyadh)

Well, no one has really answered my question. Yes, there are samples of music from the Arab world out there, but they are not mainstream. The kind of music I am talking about is only from the KSA. The beat is ethnic, the rhythm is from the desert. It is a distinctive style that when Saudi's hear it, they automatically start dancing. It is regional music. It would be akin to Tejano music from the borderland. It is a certain style of music that I have no name for in English. Please, any music experts other there? It's driving me crazy. I must know what style this regional music is, the meaning of it (is it political? folk?) I have heard it at several gatherings, possibly even the same song. I have a clip of it but I can't post it.
