Taking the leap into driving (Riyadh)

Hello good people of Riyadh,

Any last words of encouragement/advice before I take the plunge onto Riyadh's roads and change the course of history? If the advice is "Forget it", say it loud.

Do I buy a Hummer and just go charging in and over the top of my adversaries? Do I purchase a Maserati and hope that my fellow road users show some damn respect and get out of my way? Do I rent and get scratched up or buy a vehicle outright and get scratched up?

With growing trepidation, I get closer to the day when I must join the flow of mania that is the city's traffic. Stay tuned and wish me luck!
