What to bring and what not to bring ? (Riyadh)

I am coming to Riyadh next week for 3 to 4 months. I am really confused about few things that whether i should bring or not

1) I am an IT security guy. So, I have lot of electronic data in Laptop, couple of hard isks, lot of USBs, wireless routers. I have read that CDs are not allowed or laptop will be sent to ministery for checking etc

2) Can we bring small hundy deities like shiva or ganesha or small pocket size prayer books like hanuman chalisa and all.

I never had these issues anywhere in the world but I have taken a project in Saudi Arabia for the first time.

You help will be highly appreciated
